and imaginative picture of Jesus, while encouraging readers toward a relationship with the Spirit of God. Join us as we consider
the historical Jesus and the heart of contemporary faith.

Daniel: Lives of Integrity; Words of Prophecy September 16-December 2  7-9pm
This faith-building women’s Bible study by Beth Moore looks at Daniel’s life and prophecy.
Just as the prophet faced unbelievable pressures to compromise his faith to live in a hostile
culture and to confront temptations and threats, today’s believers face many of the same trials.
Designed to encourage participants to live with integrity in today’s self-absorbed society,
this study involves five days of homework a week and offers an opportunity to connect with others on the journey.
The group will be team facilitated

Disciple 1: Becoming Disciples through Bible Study September 9-May 19  9-11:30am

Disciple 1 is a program of disciplined Bible study aimed at developing strong Christian leaders.
The study gives the Old and New Testaments equal time, emphasizing the wholeness of the Bible
as a revelation of God. Disciple draws upon the work of scholars, the personal Bible reading and study
of the participant and dynamic group discussion to aid understanding of the Bible. This study is 34 weeks
and involves approximately 30 minutes of daily homework. The group will be team facilitated.

The group will not meet on 12/23, 12/30 and 3/31.

Nehemiah: Experiencing the Good Hand of God September 16-December 16  7:30 - 9:30pm
The walls of Jerusalem were in ruins. The remnant of Israel longed to go home and rebuild them.
Under Nehemiah the Jews returned to Jerusalem and rebuilt the walls, in spite of enemy attacks
and opposition. Through it all the hand of God was evident just as it is today. For men looking
to connect with other guys and talk about how to live life faithfully and practically.

Prayer Group meets every Tuesday at 6pm beginning October 14.

The Servant's Toolbox
Don’t think of yourself as a leader? Well…think again. We’re all called to lead or serve
in one way or another. But maybe you don’t quite feel prepared to serve. While it’s true that God
gives each one of us unique gifts, it’s also wise to grow in skill and knowledge as we seek to exercise our gifts
and step forward in fait. At Gary Church, we want to equip and empower one another to be the hands and feet
of Christ  Do you have a heart for coming alongside others? It may be that God is nudging you to offer your
gift of compassion or encouraging others on their faith walk
