Working Bikes

Bikes in any condition were dropped-off at Gary's parking lot		like these three of the 250 received by Deb Fagan and Bob Jones.
The Working Bikes Cooperative's mission is to empower communities by engaging in activities that promote environmentalism, public health and human equality. Working Bikes recovers landfill-bound bicycles, repairs them to working condition and sells them to Chicagoans at a low cost in order to fund shipments of bicycles and bike parts to developing countries.	Volunteers prepared the bikes for shipment including Deb Fagan, Ed Taveirne, Ski (friend of Ed's), Walt Henderson and Tony Asta
Working Bikes area director, Eric Wood, coordinated the effort.
