Good times were experienced by 19 guys during the week of June 21st on the Big Eau Pleine reservoir just south of Wausau, WI. Good weather, good golfing and finally some decent fishing --- quality not quantity. The lodge was very well furnished and comfortable. The great attraction was not the Jacuzzi but the separate game building with a pool table, table top skeet, karaoke (don’t ask), card table and a screened-in porch facing the lake. We played good challenging games with lots of laughs. Food was plentiful, highlighted by the fabulous deep fat fried turkey and a Friday night fish fry at a local supper club. A couple of the men took advantage of the canoes and others sat in the quietness and read favorite books. One night a few took a jaunt to Wausau to see the local minor league baseball team. And what can be said about the Christian fellowship! No doubt about it, we are planning for the same place, same week for 2009.
