The Reverend Dr. Tracy Smith Malone brings many gifts and experiences to our congregation as a spiritual leader, local church pastor, conference leader and General Church leader. Her ministry has been shaped and formed through her relationships with people of diverse backgrounds and her involvement with mission around the world. Her preaching, teaching and leadership empowers people to become the best they were created to be in Christ Jesus.

Pastor Tracy believes that worship and mission is the heartbeat of our Christian life. The worshipping community provides the context for faith formation, the strengthening of family systems and values, the development of meaningful relationships and the opportunity to share the love of Christ in the world.

Married to Derrick Malone, a State Farm Insurance Agent in Chicago.
Children: Alexis Jordan (9 ) and Ashley Marie (5) in 2007

Pastor Tracy is an ordained elder. She has been serving in pastoral ministry since 1989 as:

  • Senior Pastor, Southlawn UMC in Chicago, Illinois

  • Associate Pastor, First UMC, Lombard, Illinois

  • Assistant Pastor, St. Mark UMC, Chicago

Church Emphasis
Pastor Malone has a heart for all people. She has a passion for helping people grow in their relationship with Christ and translating their faith into action. She also has a passion for reaching those who cannot seem to grasp Christ’s love for them.
